About Monica
Monica is a Registered Social Worker with the Registered Social Workers and Social Service Workers Association of Ontario. She holds a Masters in Social Work Degree from Windsor University, and an Honors Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Lakehead University.
Monica has many years of experience providing person centered therapy, case management, and advocacy to individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings. She helps support individuals and couples struggling with grief, depression, bi-polar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, among others. She understands the isolation of feeling dysregulated and trapped without the ability to express intense thoughts and feelings.
Monica works from a strength based empathetic approach utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help you build the skills needed to address your current struggles.
Monica has a strong belief that you are not your life challenge or diagnosis, but simply a person who is learning to work through adversity. She would be honored to walk beside you as you discover the strength you didn’t know you had. Everyone’s stories are unique and have value in your journey to wellness and balance.
