About Margo
Margo is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin & Marshall College and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Margo is deeply inspired by the courage it takes to step into therapy and begin a journey of self-awareness and personal growth. She believes that increased awareness creates space for meaningful change, and that therapy offers a supportive and collaborative environment to explore this process.
In sessions, clients are met with genuine attention, respect, and curiosity as they share their experiences, including both tears and laughter. Together, Margo and her clients identify areas for growth and work toward positive, sustainable change at any age or life stage.
Margo offers a warm, friendly, and non-judgmental space where clients can be themselves. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and integrative, often blending mindfulness-based practices with cognitive behavioural therapy, while building on each client’s existing strengths.
She emphasizes self-compassion alongside accountability, supporting clients in making changes that align with their values, goals, and lived realities.
Margo works with individuals, couples, and families aged 14 and older who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, addiction, emotional and disordered eating, body image challenges (including support pre- and post–plastic surgery), stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and the impact of technology and doom scrolling.
She has a particular interest in supporting adults through life transitions, including empty nesting and retirement, helping clients reconnect with meaningful activities and develop values-based plans for a fulfilling next chapter.
Margo has also supported many individuals in gaining clarity around intimacy, dating, and relationships during adult life transitions. Clients, including men seeking relational insight, often value her grounded and thoughtful approach to exploring communication patterns, attachment, emotional awareness, and intentionality in intimate relationships.
She is trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, supporting partners in improving communication, navigating conflict, and strengthening emotional connection.
Life can feel fast-paced and overwhelming at times. Through gentle self-reflection and practical support, Margo helps clients identify small, meaningful steps that move them toward lasting growth and well-being.
