About Kayla

Kayla is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario). She holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and an Undergraduate degree in Psychology, both from the University of Toronto. Kayla’s experience in the mental health field spans over eight years. She has worked for multiple non-profit organizations, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs. It is through these roles where Kayla witnessed the power of support for mental well-being, and ultimately developed her passion for psychotherapy.

Kayla provides support to adolescents (14+) and adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. Working from an integrative stance, Kayla tailors her approach to individual needs. She uses evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, exposure-response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive processing therapy, parts work, mindfulness, and compassion-based work. Kayla holds a trauma-informed lens with every client she works with.

Kayla prioritizes creating a welcoming and safe space where her clients can feel seen and understood. Rooted in compassion and non-judgement, Kayla is here to support clients in navigating their inner world and life circumstances. She works in collaboration with her clients to identify goals and move towards healing and growth. Kayla believes that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and that underneath vulnerability is courage and strength. She looks forward to being part of your therapy journey.
