About Cameron
Cameron is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner registered with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC). He holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Emmanuel College at the University of Toronto. He also holds a Doctorate in Cultural Studies from Trent University.
For over ten years, Cameron taught philosophy and literature to college and university students prior to becoming a psychotherapist and spiritual care provider himself. During this time, he developed an appreciation for what it meant for people from all walks of life to explore the Big Questions and meaning, purpose and value.
Afterward, Cameron worked in a hospital network in Toronto’s East end where he supported individual patients, staff, and families dealing with issues ranging from acute emotional crisis, mental health, stroke rehabilitation, and cancer and palliative care, as well as grief and bereavement. It was within the hospital context that Cameron applied his philosophical training to the lived experiences of people facing life limiting changes and crises, developing his approach to help patients and families find meaning and purpose during the most difficult, challenging, and stressful times in life.
Cameron also has continuing education, training, and interest in working with addictions following his time at the hospital network as well as a certificate in Addiction and Mental Health earned through Wilfred Laurier University.
Cameron is devoted to helping others live their lives with meaning, purpose, passion and joy. He believes we are living in exceptionally chaotic and troubling times, but he also strives to help people realise their own authenticity, values, and spiritual health in existentially rich ways that can lead to wholeness and fulfilment.
