Therapy, Outside the Traditional Office
At Vault Mental Health®, we believe therapy should feel human, intentional, and accessible — not limited to one room, one chair, or one way of connecting.
Our golf simulator therapy pilot experience was created for clients who may feel more comfortable opening up when the pressure of traditional face-to-face therapy is softened. Sometimes conversation flows more naturally when your body has something to do.
This is not therapy made casual. It is therapy made approachable.
In this private simulator setting, clients are invited to explore what they have been carrying while engaging in an activity that can feel familiar, calming, and less intimidating. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, your therapist will meet you with care, curiosity, and clinical intention.
Your therapist may draw from evidence-based and relational approaches such as:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
- Mindfulness-based strategies
- Somatic-informed care
- Movement-based interventions and strengths-based therapy
The approach is always tailored to you and unique to your therapist.

Therapy + Golf
Traditional therapy often asks people to sit still and talk. Golf asks people to focus, adjust, breathe, reset, and respond to what is happening in the moment. We are bringing these two experiences together in a way that feels intentional, human, and different from the traditional therapy room.
Therapy + Golf is a movement-based therapy experience that blends mental health counselling with the use of a private golf simulator — an opportunity to engage in meaningful therapeutic conversation while moving, playing, and connecting with both the body and the mind.
The goal is not to improve your golf game. The goal is to create space for presence, awareness, emotional regulation, reflection, and momentum.
This is not golf with therapy added on the side. It is psychotherapy offered in a different setting: a thoughtful integration of mental health support, movement, and real-time reflection for clients who may process best when they are active, engaged, and less confined by a traditional office.
Like any therapy session, the focus is guided by what feels important to you. The simulator simply offers a more natural, interactive environment to pause, notice patterns, explore experiences, and move through the things you would like support with.

Mental Health + Movement
Mental health does not exist separately from the body. Some people process by sitting and talking. Others process by moving, doing, feeling, and experiencing.
Our Therapy + Golf sessions recognize that movement can help lower pressure, support grounding, and create a more natural environment for honest conversation. For many clients, activity can make therapy feel more approachable while still allowing meaningful clinical work to happen.
You do not need to be good at golf. You do not even need to consider yourself a golfer. You simply need to be open to experiencing therapy in a different way.
This experience is designed for anyone who may benefit from a more active, private, and human approach to therapy. While it may especially resonate with clients who feel more comfortable opening up through movement or activity, it is not exclusive to any one group. Vault Mental Health® welcomes clients of all genders, identities, and backgrounds.
Therapy + Golf offers a new way to step into the work — one that allows space for movement, reflection, and growth, both on and off the simulator.
Coming This Fall — Therapy + Golf at Vault Mental Health®
We are exploring a new pilot experience that brings together movement-based therapeutic approaches, golf simulation, and clinically guided conversation. Designed for those who may find traditional sit-and-talk therapy difficult, this private simulator setting offers a different way to engage in the work — through movement, reflection, structure, and real-time insight.
The goal is not about golf performance. It is about creating space for presence, emotional awareness, regulation, and meaningful conversation in a setting that may feel more natural, grounded, and approachable. This pilot will be guided by a Registered Social Worker or A Registered Psychotherapist.
