Vault Mental Health onsite mental health support at Gerdau

August 2026 – February 2027

Gerdau | Onsite Mental Health Support

Vault Mental Health is proud to provide onsite psychotherapy support for employees at Gerdau’s steel manufacturing workplace. Through this six-month pilot, a Vault Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist spends time onsite, getting to know the people and the work behind the organization while making confidential support easier to access.

Steel manufacturing asks a great deal of its people. Stress, grief, anxiety, and challenges outside of work do not disappear at the start of a shift. Our goal is to create a familiar, approachable space where employees can take time for their mental health without having to leave the workplace to seek support.

The early conversations with employees across departments have reinforced why this matters. Bringing care into the workplace helps make mental health support more visible and gives people a practical opportunity to use it. We’re grateful to Gerdau for welcoming Vault into its workplace and trusting us to support the people who keep it moving.

Parkinson Canada | SuperWalk Sponsor

Vault Mental Health was proud to sponsor the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk in Cobourg and Port Hope. The walk brought individuals and families together to support people living with Parkinson’s and those who care for them.

This cause is personal to Vault’s founder, Jessica O’Connor, whose family has been affected by Parkinson’s. Walking alongside her parents and daughter made the day especially meaningful and reflected why giving back to our community matters to us.

A diagnosis can affect an entire family, bringing changes in roles, caregiving, grief, uncertainty, and resilience. At Vault, we believe support extends beyond the therapy room. We’re grateful to Parkinson Canada for bringing people together through the SuperWalk and for the work they do for families affected by Parkinson’s.

Supporting First Responders

We had the honour of working with Markham Fire and Wing Tse to provide a mental health resource sheet designed specifically for firefighters.

This resource helps break down something many first responders already know but rarely talk about openly: the wear and tear of the job, and how to begin building trust with a therapist who understands the realities of the work.

Inside the guide we explore:

  • 🔥 How repeated calls impact the brain
  • 🔥 Signs your nervous system may be under strain
  • 🔥 Why shift work makes recovery harder
  • 🔥 How to find the right therapist for you

Just like gear protects the body, mental health support protects the mind. Therapy isn’t weakness. It’s maintenance.

Thank you to the incredible team at Markham Fire for trusting Vault Mental Health® to contribute to the wellbeing of those who protect our communities every day.

Your work matters. Your mental health does too.

If you are a first responder and would like to see something like this at your workplace please reach out to us . We’d love to support.
